I am wanting to find a great home and
wonderful person to take Basil on more in the Grand Prix …his life as a
dressage Stallion.
I have had my stallion A'Seduction since he was 8months old. I have done
all the training on him myself. Basil and I finished this last year in
the top ten at Grand Prix in Australia and that has been unbelievably
great fun. I believe who ever buys him, that with good coaching you
could reach the top 5. This is a big country with limited CDI’s to
compete at and the cost to travel him to get to some of these events is
becoming difficult for me.
He is a beautiful stallion and a quality horse. During the last 3 years,
Basil has enjoyed a pretty easy lifestyle. My personnel life and goals
were put on hold with the loss of my Sister and only this last 12 months
he has had a full campaign at Grand Prix. At the QLD State
Championships, Basil won every Big Tour Class.
His body and legs have never been pounded into the ground. He has never
been the type of horse that you have to ride for very long each time, he
trains well on 30 or 40 mins, and that is good for him. He doesn’t
really resist much or complain or have his own opinion about too many
things. He loves his work and loves to go to events - although most of
our big events are at least 12 hours drive away. I have had many of my
students have a ride on him and no one has any problems with him.
Basil has the most amazing temperament, and is a beautiful looking
horse. Whenever you take him anywhere, everyone just loves him. He is 15
yo (but still thinks he is 10), and just about 16.1hh.
Basil often scores 7’ for his piaffe and he loves doing his one- and
two-time changes and loves the challenge of a steep half pass.
I love him and it will be very difficult for me to see him go. But he
has produced some supa young horses, and I am riding 3 of them at the
moment and I wish to compete them all. My eldest is a 5yo mare out of
Atalanta, and she has already won 3 championship rugs.
Basil is easy to deal with on the breeding side. We do AI with him, and
he has never been a problem - he is so well mannered.
He is completely sound and his legs are so clean.
He is the most polite horse to be around, and a pleasure to ride.
I know whoever buys him will have a great reliable consistent dressage
competition horse.
luv
Sally
